瓦特希普高原是一部以一群野兔為主角的英雄式奇幻小說，由已故英國作家理察·亞當斯所作。故事描寫了以主角榛子為首的一群野兔們逃離即將被人類毀滅的兔場，追尋新的家園，而在一路上遭遇劫難的故事。本書是作者在鄉下旅行的途中講給自己小孩聽的故事集結而成，2005 年亞當斯為本作的新版書寫作了新的序言。儘管許多出版社將本書作為動物寓言看待，但作者在序言中明確表示本作並不是寓言性質的文學作品。

瓦特希普高原是亞當斯的小說處女作，也是他最知名的一部作品，獲得過包括卡內基獎和衛報文學獎在內的不少獎譽，是最為暢銷的英文文學著作之一。1976年至今本書被陸續翻譯成眾多語言版本，在世界範圍內從未停版，還多次被改編為同名動畫電影與電視劇集。

而 Sam Smith 這次則是接受了新影集的邀請，為整部影集配唱，版主覺得選 Sam Smith 配唱完全是正確的選擇，因為 Sam Smith 的歌聲裡總是充滿了一種無能為力的悲情，但卻不軟弱，而是有力地向大家傳遞出他的痛苦、他的難過、他的悲傷，正如故事中的兔子，遭逢劫難，卻不怕困難，勇往直前！
